Argentine striker Franco Di Santo has finally made his debut for San Lorenzo in the Primera Division in his native Argentina. The ex-Werder Bremen, Chelsea and Audax Italiano striker moved to San Lorenzo in the summer and his first appearance for the club was delayed by an injury. Franco Di Santo joined San Lorenzo on a free transfer at the end of his contract with Atletico Mineiro in the Brazilian Serie A.
Franco Di Santo made his debut in the league as he came on for Mariano Peralta at the start of the second half of the game with Argentinos Juniors. At the stage, hosts San Lorenzo were leading 1-0 at home through the goal from Oscar Romero on the stroke of half-time. Angel Romero would go on to wrap up the points for San Lorenzo on 55 minutes as Di Santo made a winning debut courtesy the 2-0 home victory over Argentinos Juniors.
