Wigan Athletic striker Franco di Santo is looking forward to his club maintaining the momentum that they have gathered now after winning their win against Sunderland, which was their first away win of the season in the English Premier League and he believes that the team have now left their misfortune behind them and is hoping that they can string a few results together that will take them out of the relegation zone and into relative safety.
The 22 year old Argentine striker, who spent two years on the books of Chelsea is in his first full season with Wigan Athletic after spending the season on loan last term and wants to help his team climb as high up the League as possible after just escaping relegation on the final day of last season. Franco di Santo believes that the team has it in them to string a few results together, staring with the match against Arsenal but he knows that will be a very difficult thing to do, with the kind of form that Arsenal are in at the moment.
He also believes that once all the players of the side are fully fit and return to action, the team will look completely different and believes that manager Roberto Martinez is the right to take them to safety, as he did with them last year. He also hailed the impact on the team by James McArthur and feels that they could strike up a successful partnership in time that will ultimately benefit Wigan Athletic. Franco di Santo is definitely one player who is extremely high on confidence at the moment and according to the player himself, this confidence and self belief is the key to them being able to avoid relegation to the Championship and return for another season to the English Premier League.
